Some Easy Tips for Cleaning Walter Wall Carpets

Our wide selection of Carpets are an excellent home accessory however they will function best if they are kept clean and free of stains. Cleaning your carpet might not be your perfect household task, but there are easy ways to clean them that everybody can do. Always get rid of dirt and stains as quickly as possible, if you wish to keep your carpeting clean and odorless. Vacuuming is a common and preferred method of carpet cleaning today. Try to vacuum your carpeting once every day, but if you are too busy, you can vacuum once or twice per week. Vacuuming regularly will help to extend the life of your carpet by preventing the build up of gritty particles which can cut the carpet fibers.

When vacuuming, it is recommended that you go over your carpeting in more than one direction so as to capture the most dirt possible. Before you purchase a vacuum cleaner, check to find out if it has good filtration, dual motors, appropriate brush height plus a top loading bag. Apart from dirt, a vacuum cleaner can also be used to get rid of stains on carpets.

However if the stain is a tough one, a carpet stain remover might work better than a vacuum cleaner. A good stain remover can help you get rid of even the most stubborn stains. It is recommended that you choose a shampoo.

Before applying a shampoo or cleaner to your carpeting, ensure that it will not fade or discolor your carpet or mess up the fibers. To remove stains with a shampoo, pre-spray your carpeting with the shampoo and let it break down the stains. After that, use water to rinse the shampoo off, however ensure that water does not soak into the carpet. Next, dry your carpeting and once it is dry, vacuum it once more.

If you are still not able to remove the stain through this method, one other option you can try is steam cleaning. This involves using a steam cleaning machine and a liquid based cleaning substance to get rid of stains on your carpet.  Check out Walter Wall Carpets Brighton for more info.
